Eve Systems has launched new Matter-enabled products, including the world’s first Matter smart outlet. It is a $50 smart outlet that replaces a standard dual wall outlet and will be available on February 6, 2024. The smart outlet connects to Matter over Thread, features two individually controlled receptacles, and provides advanced energy monitoring for Samsung SmartThings and Apple Home users. This is particularly useful for monitoring power consumption during the winter. Eve Systems has also introduced the Eve Light Switch, a Matter-enabled smart switch that replaces a standard light switch. Both products are part of the company’s effort to design a comprehensive, long-lasting, and energy-efficient smart home infrastructure. Matter is a new smart home connectivity standard that works as a universal compatibility standard to control smart home devices regardless of the automation system used.
