At CES 2024, Google announced upgrades to its Chromecast device, including the ability to cast TikTok videos from a phone to any Chromecast device, including dongles and TVs. Additionally, Fast Pair support for Chromecast with Google TV and other Google TV devices was expanded, allowing for easy pairing with compatible earbuds and headphones for private listening.
Chromecast will also be built into more TVs, including new 2024 models from LG, Hisense, and TCL. Google TV devices will also come with Chromecast built-in, including new streaming boxes and TVs.
Google is also making Chromecast available on select LG TVs in hotels and hospitals through LG Hospitality and Healthcare, allowing for seamless streaming without requiring users to log into each app they want to stream. This feature will be available later in the year.
