The usage of multiple AI tools has rapidly increased over the past year. In response, generative AI has begun to emerge in unexpected ways. Following the release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT last fall, Google, Microsoft and Meta introduced their own AI chatbots such as Bard, Bing Chat, and Meta AI. Additionally, Microsoft integrated an AI image generator powered by DALL-E 3 into Bing, resulting in an overall improvement in image quality and prompt processing. The Bing Image Creator can be used via Bing Chat or directly on its website. Accessible through Bing.com, there is no need for an OpenAI account. To generate images, simply enter a description into the text area and click “Create”. Although the free AI image generators may not produce lifelike images, they provide a unique output that can be downloaded freely. While images are generated based on prompts, it is important to note that AI-generated images are not protected under current copyright laws. The Bing Image Creator is free and does not require a waitlist.
