Kia and Hyundai cars to get SmartThings connectivity from Samsung
A new partnership between Samsung and Hyundai means that certain Kia and Hyundai vehicles will soon have SmartThings connectivity. It will allow users to control their vehicle’s features from inside their homes and vice versa. The technology will also provide better control over how electric vehicles charge, with options to schedule charging during off-peak hours. The app will be made available through over-the-air updates for supported vehicles, and via USB-based updates for others. No timeline for availability or market details has been provided as yet.
