360 Degree Action: A Fun and Quirky Alternative to GoPro

The QooCam 360 action camera is available on Amazon for $305. The video quality and stabilization are outstanding, but there is no way to film without the fisheye look. According to ZDNET, the QooCam 360 action camera is a quirky but fun camera, and it creates unique perspectives for action shots, but there is no way to remove the fisheye look, and you have to deal with seeing the edges of the lens cover in the footage. The camera has the option to shoot from both the front-facing and rear-facing cameras simultaneously, but it’s not perfect. The QooCam 360 action camera uses two ultra-wide-angle fisheye lenses to capture 360-degree footage, with 5.7K/62MP recording capability. It also has a wide F1.6 aperture and two 1/1.55″ sensors with 2um pixel size, as well as a six-axis gyroscope for stabilization. The touchscreen makes navigating the menu and seeing what you’re filming very easy. The QooCam 360 action camera is heavy and removing the micro SD card is a challenge. ZDNET does not recommend this camera, as they prefer the GoPro Hero 12 Black for roughly the same price. They believe the gimmick of fun 360 footage will quickly wear off and give way to frustration with the QooCam 360 action camera.
