The Twelve South has unveiled a suitable and high-quality 2-in-1 charger named ButterFly, capable of charging two Qi/MagSafe-compatible devices simultaneously with the aptly named feature expanding to allow up to 15W in charge. Although the $130 listing price is steep, it provides excellent value for the money. ZDNET journalist June Wan introduced this 2-in-1 charger and explained why the ButterFly is a must-have for holiday travel. The naming scheme of the charger comes from its design, as the magnetic, all-aluminum pucks spread open to unveil a symmetrical design bridged by a durable strip of vegan leather. The charger is compact and crafted from sturdy materials, providing a grippy coating that carries a luxurious feel. One of the most significant wins is its USB-C power input, which provides compatibility with multiple devices using the same cable standard. It also includes several accessories such as a woven USB-C cable, carrying pouch, 30W charging brick, and four international plug adapters. Another cool feature allows the ButterFly to convert into a portable dock when folded reversely. However, there is a downside as the magnet on the Apple Watch disc could be stronger. Nevertheless, the ButterFly is the ideal multi-device charging pad for users who need a slim, durable, and highly functional accessory.
