The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) is available for $179 at Walmart. This is a savings of $70 from its usual price of $249. If you’re not looking for the advanced features of the Series 8, 9, or Ultra models, the SE is a great buy with all the essentials. It is available in a 40 or 44mm display size and offers users up to 18 hours of battery life and 32GB of internal storage. Although it offers some of the same health and safety features as the Series 8 and Ultra, it does not track blood oxygen, do ECG heart checks, or check temperature. It is not dust resistant and the glass face is not as crack resistant as the Series 8. However, it does include nearly everything else, and cellular connectivity is only a $50 add-on. The editor in chief of ZDNET, Jason Hiner, noted that the SE (2nd Gen) is a great smartwatch to give to someone who doesn’t have an iPhone, such as a child or an elderly family member, using Apple’s Family Setup.
