The attempt to prevent Microsoft employees from using ChatGPT software was due to “security and data concerns,” as per CNBC. However, the action was reversed following the publication of the report. Microsoft, being one of OpenAI’s main investors, has incorporated their technology into Bing Chat, making it an AI-powered search engine. GPT-4, a more advanced version of the technology, is utilized in Bing Chat, and DALL-E 3, another innovation by OpenAI, is also integrated into Microsoft’s AI tools. ChatGPT has gained a large user base and extensive usage, with some companies restricting its usage due to security concerns.
