YouTube is adding more than 35 mini games that can be played directly in the browser. Access is currently limited to YouTube Premium subscribers for $13.99 a month. The new feature is meant as a perk for subscribers, especially since most of the games are available elsewhere. This move comes after Netflix also dipped its toes into gaming. Premium members often get to test new features first. For example, last month, a new AI-powered feature was tested on Premium users. Earlier this year, Premium subscribers got increased video quality for iOS. Overall, Playables is a nice perk for subscribers, but it’s unlikely that people would sign up for YouTube Premium solely for this feature.
