Amazon is reportedly investing in the development of its own large language model (LLM), codenamed ‘Olympus’. This model is being designed for corporate customers, similar to the enterprise solutions offered by OpenAI and Microsoft. According to reports, Olympus could be announced at the upcoming AWS re:Invent 2023 event and is expected to outperform Titan, a group of LLMs currently sold by AWS. This new model is rumored to have two trillion parameters, making it potentially one of the largest LLMs ever built. The development of Olympus follows previous rumors based on Amazon’s job listings, suggesting the company’s interest in AI chatbot-building initiatives.
