The 10th generation iPad (iPad 2022) has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone, powered by the A14 Bionic chip with 16-core Neural Engine. It comes with 64GB or 256GB storage options, Touch ID biometrics, and is available in Silver, Pink, Blue, and Yellow colors. The iPad features a 12MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide camera, weighs 1.05 pounds, and has dimensions of 9.79 x 7.07 x .28 inches. It also supports USB-C and Smart Connector connections, with up to 10 hours of battery life for video playback.
The iPad 2022 offers the same features as the more expensive Pro and Air models in a lightweight form factor with a thinner bezel. It has been updated with the A14 Bionic processor, USB-C support, 5G capability, and a new 12MP ultra-wide camera. The model also supports the Magic Keyboard Folio with an adjustable kickstand and a 14-key function row for shortcuts.
ZDNET editor June Wan praised the regular iPad, stating that it surpasses even the M2 iPad Pro in terms of camera placement. The iPad is available in fun colors such as pink, blue, yellow, in addition to the classic Apple silver. However, it does not support the 2nd-generation Apple Pencil without the use of a dongle, which may be seen as a drawback.
Consumers can save $50 on the base-model iPad at Walmart ahead of Black Friday.
