OpenAI introduced DALL-E 3, its latest and most powerful version of an AI image generator, to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscriptions. Paid ChatGPT subscribers can now use DALL-E 3 within the AI chatbot, as it has not yet been made available through OpenAI Labs.
Additionally, DALL-E 3 is accessible through the Bing Image Creator, allowing users to utilize the AI image generator for free with a Microsoft account.
To create AI images using DALL-E 3 in ChatGPT, users must have a Plus or Enterprise subscription, as DALL-E 3 is exclusively available within GPT-4. ChatGPT Plus costs $20 per month, while Enterprise tier pricing varies based on organizational size.
Once subscribed, users can log in to ChatGPT’s website at Chat.OpenAI.com and select GPT-4. They can then input a prompt for the desired image, ensuring it is specific and compliant with the generator’s terms of use. After generating the image, users can view and download it. The Bing Image Creator does not limit DALL-E 3, but it offers “Boosts,” speeding up image generation.
It should be noted that users should consider any legal consequences, such as copyright issues, before using AI-generated images in their work.
