ZDNET highly recommends the Aqara U100 Smart Lock, branding it as the most versatile smart lock available on the market. It is the first in the U.S. to merge Apple Home Key, keypad, fingerprint, NFC tags, and a physical key for only $190. Installing the lock was straightforward, and pairing it with the Aqara app on an iPhone was effortless using an Aqara M2 Hub. While the Aqara Hub is not a requirement for basic features, it is necessary for remote lock and unlock actions, current lock status, and password configuration. Despite some issues with the app’s Beta features, the Aqara U100 Smart Lock is a recommended buy, given its continuous performance improvements and unlocking options that add a significant level of convenience.
