The Meta VR headset “Mirror Lake” promises to be a game-changer, featuring a slim and open design that sets it apart from traditional VR headsets. The headset looks like a pair of ski goggles and offers a reverse passthrough system that displays an image of the wearer’s eyes on the front. This sleek design is achieved through the use of HoloCake lenses that are much thinner and provide a full electronic varifocal system. Though the headset is still in development, it demonstrates viable technology that could make it to market in the coming years.
