The Contacts app on Android now enables location sharing through Google Maps, making it more convenient to see where friends and family are. To start sharing your location, you’ll need the other person’s Gmail saved in your contacts and have location sharing turned on in Google Maps. The latest version of Contacts is required for this feature, and it is available for download on the Google Play Store for all Android devices. However, since Google Contacts is not available for iOS, this feature will not work the other way around for iPhone users.
