In the past year or so, generative AI technology has been a major focus of exploration. While we’ve seen this technology in action, there is still much to learn about its capabilities and limitations. In this article, I’m going to demonstrate how I utilized the technology to create educational content about the 50 states of America. Through this project, I sought to test the capabilities of AI, particularly ChatGPT and DALL-E 3, and observe how they could be used for educational and creative purposes.
To generate images and descriptions for each state, I used a single prompt that could be repeated. This prompt instructed the AI to produce a picturesque image of each state and describe it in 10 words or less. Although the results were varied, I was able to obtain descriptions and images that effectively summarized the unique features of each state.
Through this project, I aimed to not only provide educational content but also evaluate the potential applications of AI in creative and educational environments. Additionally, I used DALL-E 3 to create images that represented the distinct characteristics of each state, allowing me to observe how AI interprets and visualizes diverse landscapes and cultural symbols from training data.
Overall, my experiment demonstrated the evolving capabilities of AI and its potential to contribute to creative and educational endeavors. As we continue to explore and develop this technology, it is clear that AI has the capacity to be a valuable tool in various fields, including education and creative content creation.
