Google admitted that these changes may be disruptive for some users, but offered alternatives for performing the actions without voice interaction. Additionally, changes are being made to the Google app itself, impacting Pixel users who currently use the microphone on the search bar to trigger the Assistant. Instead, users will have to use voice commands or long-press on the home or power button to activate the Assistant.
