Google is set to bring its new Gemini model of the Bard AI to the Pixel 8 Pro, providing a serious AI upgrade for users. The Gemini Nano, designed specifically for smartphones, will run directly on the device, ensuring sensitive data stays on the phone, no online connection is needed, and processes should be very quick. This initial rollout includes the Smart Reply on the Gboard keyboard and the Recorder app’s auto summarize feature, with plans to expand its capabilities in the future. The long-term impact of Gemini and AI tools on Android devices could potentially change almost everything we do with our devices.
